Margrethe I of Denmark & Erik of Pomerania
By integrating the esoteric concepts of Archons and the Demiurge into his work, he presents Margrethe and Erik as more than mere historical figures; they become manifestations of hidden, cosmic forces.
In the Gnostic tradition, Archons are perceived as the hidden rulers of the world, and in the painting, Margrethe and Erik are depicted as earthly vessels for these powerful entities. The Demiurge, the creator of the material world, governs through these figures, shaping human destiny. In this context, Margrethe assumes a spiritual maternal role, akin to the Virgin Mary, embodying a unique spiritual authority. Erik, as her chosen son, symbolizes a divine mission that he is destined to fulfill.
Podlevsky’s work thus offers a deeper interpretation of Margrethe and Erik’s significance. They emerge not only as historical leaders but also as symbolic representatives of greater cosmic powers.
The mother-son relationship transcends history, becoming part of an esoteric narrative that extends beyond time and space.
