Volodymyr Podlevsky, a Ukrainian contemporary artist. Beyond his widespread recognition in Ukraine and the United States, Podlevsky’s artistry has garnered admiration in various European countries, including Germany, Belgium, Denmark, and France. His captivating works have resonated with art enthusiasts in these nations, elevating his international acclaim. Biography

Volodymyr was born on October 11, 1960, in the city of Andrushivka, located in Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine. He graduated from Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in 1985, which is now known as Lviv Academy of Art. As a distinguished member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Podlevsky specializes in easel painting and tempera techniques, showcasing his exceptional talent and skill.
Throughout his career, Podlevsky has actively participated in numerous nationwide, international, and foreign exhibitions and festivals. From 1990 to 2022, he curated and showcased his artwork in over 45 solo exhibitions, captivating audiences in Ukraine and the United States with his artistic vision.
When the war between Ukraine and Russia erupted, Podlevsky found himself compelled to seek refuge in Belgium, where he has resided for nearly two years while diligently continuing his artistic endeavors. Despite the challenges he faced, Podlevsky’s unwavering dedication and passion for art have remained steadfast, enabling him to persistently create and contribute to the art world, further enriching his artistic legacy.

Podlevsky’s invaluable creations are proudly preserved in esteemed institutions, including regional art museums in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Chernihiv, as well as local history museums in Zhytomyr and Poltava. Additionally, his works find a prominent place within the National Museum “Kyiv Picture Gallery,” the archives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, the collection of the Ukrainian Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago. Notably, his artistic contributions also grace the halls of the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA, and are cherished in private collections both in Ukraine and abroad.
